Using BootCamp will allow Windows/Corel full access to all the CPU cores and RAM. Basically, it is a work-around, make-do situation and it feels like it. Smaller design projects are much easier to work with and for the most part everything works, although the experience is still not the same as using a PC. I work with very large vehicle graphics and need all the power I can get so handicapping myself from the start is less than desirable. I have mine set up so that Parallels uses three of my four CPU cores and 12 GM of my 16 GB RAM, so right off I am using less than the full capability of my computer. Parallels allows the user to configure how much resources (CPU and RAM) are dedicated to OS X and how much to Windows. However, while this approach does indeed work, there are a few drawbacks. I've remapped the keys so most of the shortcuts are functional. I am currently running CorelDRAW X7 on Windows 8.2 via Parallels 9 on a late 2011 MacBook Pro.
